My Story
My name is Sara Takahashi. I am an Australian currently living in with my husband and two young boys in Okinawa, Japan.
I am a graduate from the Australian National University, located in Australia’s beautiful capital city, Canberra. The ANU is the top-ranked university in Australia, and is consistently ranked among the world’s leading universities globally.
At the ANU, I completed a combined undergraduate degree, earning both a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours (Plant Sciences), concurrently. Following this, I continued at the ANU to complete my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Sciences.
My background is in photosynthesis and using genetic, biochemical and physiological tools to examine protein-protein interaction. In addition to this, I have experience in editing manuscripts covering environmental stress, coral bleaching and symbiosis.
Over the last decade, I have gained a wealth of experience in editing English for a range of purposes including academic papers, reviewer’s comments, both giving comment and replying to others comments, as well as applications for scientific research grants and job applications.
I look forward to using my science background and editing experience to build new editing partnerships in the future.
